Wolf- sounds like you have the same hair as I do. I found that gel and hairspray only work when its short. With your hair type you only need two things to get a cool pomp. 1) a good hair cut, If your hair is just a grown out short cut it wont look right, make sure the haircut person cuts it so its long in the front and slowly goes short towards the back. 2) Try aplying the thick pomade (Murrays or the gangsta pomade Three Flowers) when your hair is still damp, style it and ad a little bit of hairspray. The first couple times it will take you a while, but then you'll get the hang of it. Good luck.

thanks for the advice guys. shelly and erica, i think you are right about 1 thing, that shit gets everywhere seems like but it hasnt been a problem yet. I just bought one of those high roller simmons super pillow top mattresses with the removable "healthsmart" washable covers. Well, we couldnt just stop there, now we have to get the 600 thread count sheets and so far so good....i havenet greased them yet.

Go see Donnie at Hawleywood's Barber Shop in Costa Mesa. Hell hook ya up with your "problem". He make a line of pomade called Lay-Rite that washes out.

Dude i tried that slick back hair look for a while, but now its kinda not me any more. My girlfriend say i look like a "dirty beaner", even though i am a beaner but look like the milk man's son. Any way dude i was usign this stuff by physique, it kinda a chick brand, but it works well. doesn't live your hair greasey or melt, or the worst this, leave you pillow cases all sticky. It is wax base so you'll have to find a good shampoo to wash it out right. please dont ask me how or why i know this.

Tigi Hair Glaze is a great pomade because it has major hold and shine but is grease-free. Its around 20 bucks for 1 oz., so you have to pay alot to get a little, but still, it works better than all the others I've tried.
